Someone asked, “Is it more important to be flexible or to stand firm on one’s principle?”
The Master answered:
A good way to manage any matter is to incorporate flexibility in upholding one’s principle. If one insists strictly on upholding principle, thereby resulting in criticism, upsetting others and causing conflicts, there is no advantage in having such a principle.
