Medical Team Acts with Heart in Critical Moments of Life
At the large-scale free clinic in Cambodia, the medical team not only provided treatment but also exercised professional judgment at critical moments. As frontliners facing sudden changes in patients’ conditions, they safeguarded the health of local residents with compassion. A 12-year-old girl wanted to give up treatment because she was afraid of surgery. With encouragement from volunteers, she found the courage to let the doctor proceed with the operation. Meanwhile, a 78-year-old grandmother was discovered to have dangerously low haemoglobin levels. The doctor took the initiative to locate her and persuaded her to be admitted to the hospital immediately for treatment.
