Embracing the Seventh Lunar Month with Right Faith, Filial Piety, and Compassion

According to traditional Chinese folk beliefs, the seventh lunar month is when the “Gates of Hell” open, and many families make offerings to wandering spirits. There are also numerous taboos, such as avoiding going out at night or making loud noises.

In Buddhism, however, the seventh lunar month is regarded as an auspicious month. With right faith, we can let go of fear and live each day with peace of mind.
