Tzu Chi 59th Anniversary and Buddha Day Celebration - Preparations (2025)

Every year on the second Sunday of May, Tzu Chi commemorates a meaningful 3-in-1 occasion: Buddha Day, Mother's Day, and Global Tzu Chi Day. This year, the celebration began on the morning of 11 May at Jing Si Hall, where the Buddha Bathing Ceremony was solemnly held. The opening ceremony drew over 812 volunteers, who gathered to express gratitude for the grace and kindness of the Buddha, their parents, and all sentient beings.

As the day unfolded, hundreds of participants joined the congregation, filling the space with reverence, a truly heartwarming sight. A special highlight this year is the "Exhibition on Charity & Humanistic Culture in the Buddha's Homeland", which offers visitors a chance to walk in the compassionate footsteps of the Buddha.
