58th Anniversary Celebration of Tzu Chi and Group Recitation of the 'Medicine Buddha Sutra' (2024)
The 24th day of the 3rd lunar month marks Dharma Master Cheng Yen’s birthday, as well as the 58th anniversary of Tzu Chi. Tzu Chi Merit (Singapore) and Hualien Jing Si Abode are synchronously connected, jointly reciting the Medicine Buddha Sutra and embarking on a day of diligence.
Although today is not a holiday, 147 volunteers, staff and congregation members gathered early in the morning at Jing Si Hall to participate in this auspicious ceremony together. Amidst the solemn chanting of Buddhist scriptures, everyone devoutly recited the Medicine Buddha Sutra and extended birthday wishes to her.
